š2 new subs this week, welcome & thanks for the supportš Wednesday breaks records on Netflix, Spain is on a plane, Germany couldnāt hack it and England are about to be tested - this World Cup is actually good?
šThings you may have missedš
š¤ÆThe BIG storiesš¤Æ

Theyāve only gone and bloody done it again. Are we witnessing a Google killer? Open AI has launched ChatGPT, a large language model trained by AI which can generate human-like text based on input. In simple terms, much like that annoying co-worker, it has an answer for EVERYTHING.
Look itās not perfect there are many flaws. The answers are not 100% accurate and itās been trained in a certain pattern to answer questions, similar to the McKinsey SCQA however, have a play around and experience for yourself what the future of search will be. Letās just hope it doesnāt kill creativity.
šCool & Creativ3š
PANIC CAREFULLY. Apart from having the most chaotic social media, as well as the best-selling language app Duolingo are pretty good at marketing. Theyāve created the āMuseum of Wonky Englishā, which showcases the funniest mistranslations from Japanese to English.
My favourite? āPlease urinate with precision and eleganceā - as if thereās any other way! A great experiential activation in Tokyo, using humour to educate and entertain and grow app usage in Japan.
šStudies & Researchš

Last week we said that voice search isnāt going as well as we all anticipated, this weekā¦Is Instagram dying? Are we all over the performative app? Well, in this piece from the Atlantic, they state itās a begrudgingly necessary app. Like Facebook is to mostā¦
A really interesting piece that actually echoes some of the conversations Iāve been having with friends recently. Ad load is too high, despite following hundreds of people only seeing 2 or 3 posts a day. Is this the price the app pays for influencers pushing perfection?
š¤Technology & Trackingš¤

Now, this is a COOL feature. Google Chrome can track the price of a desired product across multiple online stores all at once, with an email slipping in your inbox when the price is right. Similar to their Flight tracker, this could cause a bit of friction with virtual storesā¦
Especially those sites that concatenate sales information. Thereās a lesson in here for marketing, something about Pās? Hmmm, what was it again.
