š¤ÆThe BIG storiesš¤Æ

Maybe I was wrong. Elon is a madman, as the goal to grow Twitter by making it an utter hellscape is working wonders. In this weekās news, Elon has gone all in on Apple and their 30% fee for the app store. The threat? If the app is removed from iOS then a new phone will be built by Musk.
Itās nearly time to abandon ship, isnāt it? Itās getting back to Trump 2016 levels on the app, divisive, full of threats, and ugly free speech convos playing out. Advertisers are still steering clear with numbers of advertising revenue falling 50% WoW, oh and the deck for Twitter 2.0 is pretty hilarious - all dates are differentā¦

šStudies & Researchš

āThe future of search is voice!ā Walk into any agency, conference, or publisher meeting and youāll most likely hear this. Thereās a slight issue though, as like Myki cards in Melbourne, everybody has an Alexa or Google home but it turns out that no one uses them
The numbers from Amazon are pretty alarming, as they posted an operating loss of $3bn in the first quarter and if they continue going the way theyāre going then itās likely to be $10bn. Looks like Amazon may be sending out the Bezos signal soonā¦

And on the eighth day of programmatic advertising, Yaboola was born. A face only a mother could love, this new partnership is expected to generate $1bn in annual revenue. With Yahoo now able to exhibit paid content on the portalās many sites.
Okay, all jokes aside this is a smart move by Yahoo as they look to grow their native offering and their network of sites to operate on. Not to mention that Taboola lost 75% of its market value after their $2.6bn valuation
