I fucking love this

👋 3 new subs this week, welcome & thanks for the support👋 Australia has 10 minutes of joy in a very politically heated World Cup, Trump & Ye announce they’re running for 2024 and Disney bring back Bob and get rid of Bob 🤣
🏖Things you may have missed🏖
🤯The BIG stories🤯

I’ve had a change of heart about Elon. What if he bought Twitter because he saw the potential and wanted to improve the platform? Well, it’s kinda working, daily active users are up and the app is buzzing. However, reinstating Trump & ye, not to mention some damaging memes he’s posted is not doing much for the rep. OH, and you can watch full-length films on Twitter now…
I’m sure the movie houses are chuffed about this one! It seems cutting back staff by 50%+ is starting to effect the network, with some core advertisers also calling out how buggy the ads platform is now that micro-services have been removed.
😎Cool & Creativ3😎
This new @MetaQuestVR ad in Piccadilly Circus, London is unreal! 😲
Watch to the end for 3D Spaceman! 🧑🏻🚀🚀

Another week, another OUTRAGEOUS 3D billboard in London. This time Meta flexes its VR muscle pushing the latest Quest product, the creativity we’re seeing here is amazing! Looking forward to seeing Australia’s response to this, Vegemite being spread in 3D? The Project cast handing in their CVs through the screen?
Likely to be a big trend in 2023, the innovation from Asia has taken over London with a whole host of brands like Balenciaga, Call Of Duty plus more playing with depth of field. My money is on Aus Open to have an insane activation here…
📚Studies & Research📚

Gen Z loves nostalgia. They’ve brought back some terrible fashion & hair choices we made in the 90s and early 00s, and now, they’re reinventing scrapbooking?! If you’re over 30 like moi, then Pinterest’s ‘Shuffles’ would’ve completely passed you by.
This app is targeting a younger demographic of social media users, who are seeking creative expression over posting about polarising political opinions on social networks. Authenticity and creativity, maybe the kids are alright.
🤓Technology & Tracking🤓
Apple = Privacy. Right? Wrong. Some fantastic nerds have discovered that the App Store sends data back to Apple which contains a DSID, a directory services ID that can directly identify your iCloud account i.e. it can personally identify you.
Why is this problematic? Well Apple has set rules for everyone else by blocking trackers (see Meta’s stock price) and yet they can link detailed browsing behavior directly to consumers. Sneaky sneaky👀
