Apple continues to sprinkle ads all over your beautiful, privacy-first iPhone - as the Apple Maps is the next victim to fall prey to the terrifying ads monster. The big philosophical question though, is if you place ads in the Apple Maps ad and no one seeās them, did they even deliver?
The joke here is that no one uses Apple Maps if you didnāt get it. How on earth is Apple going to spin this one with their forthcoming new product messaging? Iām sure anything to do with Privacy is out of the window. Is nothing sacred?!

Anything you can do, we can do better! Snap launches āDress Upā in-app which is basically Instagramās shop tab but on steroids - with added AR try-on functionality from a selection of your favourite brands.
Announced at their Partner summit in April, this functionality is starting to roll out (spotted by some super nerds) and takes eCommerce to the next frontier. Try on clothes, place furniture in your home and Iām sure there will be doggy clothing soon.

Doing what big tech does best, Spotify looks to wipe out competitors from another revenue stream in events, as it launches a new site to sell tickets directly to users rather than sharing the love with Ticketmaster and Eventbrite.
Pretty devious right? Not the first time weāve seen it though. Become the number one app in your market with MILLIONS of users, launch a new feature that undercuts the industry, and steals share. Awesome if youāre the consumer, not so much if youāre a ticket seller.

āWe need short, snappy content that shows the brand within 1 millisecond - Gen Z has no attention span.ā Everything weāve been told is a LIE. And wouldnāt you know it, the company that gave us the original insight has changed tact to promote more long form.
This wouldnāt have to do with TikTok, would it? An interesting look at the āprofessional fansā and the younger demo that are consuming TONNES of content in longer form space. Also, great for creators - think of those ad dollary doos!

Read this 3,000-word article to earn coins and power-ups! Another wonderful episode of āhow the f*** are your DAUs that high?ā Well, it turns out for a lot of big publishers are doing this to grow their traffic. Time to start poking & prodding your pubs.
Sneaky sneaky! A great investigative article from Marketing Brew on this deceptive practice. Publishers need the traffic to sell to marketers and theyāre stooping pretty damn low.
