🏖Things you may have missed🏖
🤯The BIG stories🤯

The world’s biggest democracy is under threat, nooooo don’t worry silly, they can still have automatic weapons! And no, they haven’t received universal healthcare - how thoughtless of me. But, women? Oh yeah, they don’t need rights…
With recent rulings like Roe vs Wade having mass consequences for women in the US, in Technology we’ve seen two vastly different strategies.
Google will delete location data of users who visit medical facilities like abortion clinics, fertility centers, domestic violence shelters, counseling centers and more.
Meta will remove posts offering to support others in obtaining mail abortion pills. They have said they’re looking into why these were blocked…
Really interested to see how this plays out and what role big tech will play. Meta has historically been lax on removing posts around election fraud, disinformation and more - yet this was actioned immediately. If you want more, Pivot pod speaks about this at length⭐
😎Cool & Creativ3😎

Gosh, Apple is good! They made life infinitely better with our phantom limbs (iPhone) and moved music from jumpy CD players to sleek MP3 players. But now they’re going to introduce fuel purchases from CarPlay, so sit on your butt & you do you boo.
One thing I really hate? Walking to pay for petrol like a chump. I always come back with chocolate milk, a scratch card, and an air freshener. Apple is going to save me $$$, but the big question is will it deter tradies from getting their plumber’s porridge(ice coffee & meat pie)?
📚Studies & Research📚

We’re in a real pickle team. Our viewership numbers are decreasing and we can only charge advertisers so much, what can we do? How about we extend the ad breaks? PERFECT. Let’s call the advertising body and put propaganda on Media I screens immediately.
Don’t panic, it’s the UK. There’s even research done by the advertising body that shows older audiences record content to skip ads and younger audiences are increasingly cutting the cable. What’s that old adage? The consumer is always…WRONG, LET’S GET RICH.
🤓Technology & Tracking🤓

BUT MUMMMM! Like being forced to invite that weird kid to your birthday party, Google could be opening the doors to their exclusive YouTube inventory as an EU antitrust plays the fun sponge parent.
BIG BLOODY NEWS! The European competition watchdog opened the probe last year to see where Google had an unfair advantage over its competitors by restricting rivals & advertisers’ access to user data. So you’re saying that Yahoo & Amobee have a chance?
