Things You Should Know 👀

Right on time! Google has announced more information on their new safety section in Google Play - also known as Privacy labels in Apple lingo. Oh, and they’re giving users the ability to block the Advertising ID.
Just when you thought it was over…The good news is that this is only in the Google Play store, I wonder if this will be brought to other platforms? Fingers crossed they don’t.

Facebook users are more likely to be anti-vaccine than those who watch Fox News. Ouch! This one has got to hurt Zuck, then again I’m sure he doesn’t care after that earnings call…
Biden called out Facebook recently, and this exclusive study from the Washington post just reinforces that it’s a very dangerous platform for misinformation.
Cool Stuff😎

‘Looks like you’re in Sydney CBD, why not attend an anti-lockdown protest?’ - Snapchat’s built in-map will start recommending places to visit, meaning ad opportunities are around the corner…
This has always had so much promise, the Snap map is a fantastic feature, and awesome to see the potential being realized now. Not only just to catch cheating partners ay?
What we’ve learned📚
Forget Crypto, NFT’s, VR, AI. Get reading about Quantum computing, this space is fascinating…Oh, and Google - you know the tech firm- have evaded the second law of thermodynamics with a time crystal!
This is extremely hard to get your head around (especially as we buy ads), but this breakthrough in Quantum computing is groundbreaking. The time crystal is both stable & ever-changing, without ever burning energy. Want to read more, highly recommend this article.

Did you select B? Congrats, you are correct! It seems that Facebook fends the phones for their Oculus customers, but couldn’t give a rat’s ass about their Facebook customers.
The Nerd Corner🤓

5,6,7,8. No, not that Steps banger. The number of times you see the same ad on certain Connected TV services! Publica look to fix this, with automatic content recognition that identifies if an ad has been delivered multiple times in the same pod.
Very smart. Elea AI also boasts the ability to measure deduplication, competitive separation, and frequency capping.

FAKE NEWS!! Surprisingly not a story about Sky News being banned in Aus…IAS teams up with Global Disinformation to help brands avoid misinformation.
A very smart move by IAS. Get ready for many publishers/tech to create similar partnerships, to make their inventory more appealing in the age of anti-vax nutters.
