What fresh hell is this?! Just when you thought it was over, Tim Apple comes out swinging more than Logan Paul. Here are the key announcements from Apple’s WWDC:
Mail Privacy Protection - Ability to block trackers in EmailOooft, this is a punch in the guts for Email Marketing. No more visibility on whether a user has opened or when, plus it hides the IP address which stops tracking the recipient’s online activity. AND it also creates burner email addresses, so good night to Unified ID.
App Privacy Report - Similar to device usage, a snapshot of your data.Nothing too massive here. APART FROM the ability to see what apps and more importantly third party domains are tracking your data. Get ready for non-compliant data transfer lawsuits 🥳
iCloud Private Relay - Essentially a VPN. The Private Relay has been garnering the most attention online, as it redirects web traffic through two separate servers that hide the User IP. In basic English… Just like when you watch American Netflix, your identity is completely hidden - which is potentially problematic for Ad Tech.

Welcome to the Thunderdome, ahem, Metaverse. Snapchat’s recent partner summit demonstrated some big announcements, with the main focus on building out their Metaverse.
Just like the Hamilton example above, we’re starting to live in multiple worlds and Snap’s big gamble is immersing users in Augmented Reality, building functional maps and making EVERYTHING shoppable.
Imma let you finish Snapchat, but Roblox has the best Metaverse of all time. This award-winning campaign has completely and utterly blown my tiny little mind!

I kid. This is a smart move for Snap pivoting to 1PD, as they were also affected by iOS14. And a smart move for Salesforce, as rivals such as Adobe, have partnered with other platforms (Nine, Facebook) to activate. Watch this space!
