Things you may have missed🏖
Things You Should Know 👀

How do you get people to care about iOS14? Something I ask myself every day in the mirror. Apple has just simplified ad-tracking, so even your nan could understand.
Not sure Brenda actually would get it. But yes, a fantastic ad and something that I imagine will cause a little tantrum over at 1 Hacker Way.

Twitter are on a rampage! After multiple acquisitions and the potential of a verified platform, they’ve now announced Ticketed Spaces. Think Clubhouse, but you pay to hear your favourite specialists talk…
Interesting to see if this hype around audio continues, especially after seeing Clubhouse boom and then the big drop of users recently.
What we’ve learned📚

“FAME! I want to sell a sofa, I want to share my MI’s!” A Media version of the classic hit, as Faris Yakob asks why we don’t focus on Fame more.
A good read for a chin stroke…" the only thing all successful brands have in common is a kind of fame.”

Could Netflix become the Netflix of Games? Would this mean you could stream/play any game? A Netflix device? Or just spinning off famous shows into games?
So many questions, not many answers. But the rumour mill has picked up that they want to hire a Gaming exec. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
The Nerd Corner🤓

After fine-tuning the Unified Identifier, The Trade Desk has made the code base open-source. Meaning what nerd? Meaning that big steps have been made in the Open web, without cookies.
Forget about old m8 Zuck begging to keep the internet free, TTD is actually doing good here by creating a plausible new ecosystem for a free privacy-centric internet.

Federated Learning. Imagine explaining a glossary of terms that’s popped up in the past year to your friends outside the industry… Nevertheless, a great read if you are curious about the tech.
This is a deep read. Very techy, much formulas. A privacy safe workaround employed by Google currently, interesting to see if other AdTech/Big Tech look to deploy this too.
Cool Stuff😎

Imagine watching City of God or Another Round, or Narcos in perfect English. I give you, Deep Fakes. An incredible use of the technology to shift any film into any language!
Although, I have to say I am getting too comfortable with subtitles. Once you use it for a foreign language program it creeps into your daily behaviours!
