Things You Should Know 👀

After seemingly months of calling it, Twitter looks to launch Twitter Blue - their $3 subscription service. Which requires identity verification and the ability to edit tweets.
The identity verification alone could completely change Twitter’s fortune. I’m sure most users would pay to enjoy the platform without the trolls!

“75% of Europeans say they would prefer to maintain an ad-funded internet – complete with targeting – then pay for access.” This, according to the IAB Europe. Maybe Facebook was on to something?
It’s the age-old question. Would you rather pay for cat videos or get hit by a pregnancy ad for 15s? A nice contrarian view amongst all of the end of the world narrative in Digital.
What we’ve learned📚

ItS aLl a SiMuLaTiOn. Okay, Q-anon. But, what if we’re all part of an online game? One that’s rigged to encourage attention, increase engagement and make us crave validation.
A real whirlwind read. If you’ve read Nir Eyal’s ‘Hooked’ then you’ll be familiar with this framework, but an interesting look at how everything is a game.

WHAT. How am I naked?! And why am I presenting in front of everyone?! It turns out our crazy dreams train us for the unexpected.
So when you’re in your Birthday Suit in front of 200 people you’ll know what to do.
The Nerd Corner🤓

They changed Music. They changed Computing. They changed Phones. But, riddle me this. Can Apple change Ads? Yeah, probably.
A superb, but lengthy read on Apple’s venture into changing ads, starting with the iOS14 update. Could we see a strategy for Android and a strategy for Apple in future decks/media plans?

Your data is YOUR DATA. Apart from when you’re in China, then you’ll have to unlock the vault and provide them with what they want!
HOLY SH*T. What an expose! Apple, you know the innovative company I was just talking about? Seems like they’re in bed with the nation, abandoned their encryption technology and have compromised all iPhone users (in China)!
Cool Stuff😎

Wanna piece of this? Dominos Pizza is known (and occasionally loved) for quick service, consistent products and a seamless experience. So, it’s no surprise how technologically advanced they are!
When you actually sit down to think about what they do and offer, it’s absolutely incredible. Sure, the pizza is below average at times, but man, one of the most advanced companies I’ve read about!
Best of the Net📱
Cue Curb theme music (a goal was disallowed) 🤣
