Things You Should Know 👀

“How can we increase consumer confidence in Google? And how, do we pivot to privacy like Apple? Well, boss, we could copy them?”. THAT’S RIGHT, Privacy Labels in Android.
Google aren’t happy with Apple stealing all the fun and Facebook’s revenue. So they’re launching their own Privacy Nutrition labels, which in turn will lead to an IOS14 like framework. Good times.

Absolute comedy hour here. We all saw an Apple ad product coming, but christ, the body is still warm…Zuck must be melting.
What we’ve learned📚

Smartphones have made us ‘human snails, carrying our homes in our pocket.’ What a quote! And the article is great too, much like the phantom limb ideology, our phone has become our home.
All of that time building Facebook communities for this? I wonder if they’ll revisit the algorithm now that paid spend won’t be as effective for marketers…

‘All it took was an exploding hoverboard to topple Amazon’s marketplace.’ Look forward to reading this in Business books in years to come, as Amazon could become liable for products sold on Marketplace.
Pretty massive news, if this ruling applies to all markets. “Courts are rejecting the internet exceptionalism idea when it comes to a company like Amazon,” …Oooft!
The Nerd Corner🤓

You want to steal this slide, don’t you? Me too! It comes with a great article from Rob Webster, as he deep-dives into the future of the cookie across the funnel & different forms of measurement
This will make you smarter. A much read, tonnes of information here and will become very important as we move forward into a post-cookie world.

The Programmatic University has made its foundation’s course FREE! Normally a couple of pineapples, it’s worth a look.
Add to your MFA, Google, Edge and Blueprint certifications. All for freeeee!
Cool Stuff😎

Fed up with buying stuff on Marketplace or just in general? What about lending or gifting? Introducing the Buy Nothing Project
Rather than slinging your old mattress on Facebook Marketplace, the Buy Nothing Project goes for good and encourages sharing. Heartwarming stuff.
