Microsoft was one of the most vocal companies recently, siding with governments and Publishers, stating that they should have more control. Google even took a dig at the recent vulnerability that led to a major hack of emails.

Despite the earth-shaking news last week, the Unified ID 2.0 is entering Beta Phase and already has 50 million users!
The IAB, Prebid and TTD are putting their full force behind this initiative and teases more announcements soon as others scramble in the wake of cookie-geddon. Still confused about what UID is? Well, click here.

So we have the UID, AEM, FLoC and now the CAID? The China Advertising association looks to circumvent the upcoming iOS14 changes to keep tracking iPhone users without their consent.

GENIUS! This has been an ongoing topic for years now and brought to the forefront once again with the Tom Cruise deepfakes. Well hopefully this tech development can protect us all!
The Nerd Corner🤓

No way! You mean to tell me, that the hyped-up new app captures data on its users? And then shares with social media? Gosh, didn’t see this coming.
If like me, you don’t have an iPhone then you can’t get on the latest hot property. But, it doesn’t mean they can’t harvest your data - the old contacts list backdoor.

Ah, the classic smoke screen…Used by crappy magicians and Big Tech billionaires who fear that a competitor is about to demolish their business model. But hey! VR & AR are huge, right?
Another excellent article from Eric Seufert, who dives into the news that Facebook are pivoting to AR/VR. The timing certainly is interesting, especially as the ATT & iOS14 are about to wreak havoc.
